Not only is there a Meters track on the compilation, but they also play on several other tunes (at least, it sounds that way). I'm pretty sure that's the Meters backing up Cyril Neville on "Gossip". Also on the Dr. John track "(Everybody Wanna Get Rich) Rite Away". They often backed Alan Toussaint as well, but I don't think they're on "Goin' Down". Anyways, it's a cool collection. I've already got about half of those tracks, but the other half may make it worth $60 bucks anyway. Now, if Rhino only released this stuff on vinyl...
