I know, I Know.. I was hoping they would change the setlist up some. Sounds similar to what they played when I flew up to nyc.. Ill see them at the fairgrouds and at the CAC 2nd weeekend, Ill get setlist.. Did you record?

: It's two hours earlier here, people are just waking up. I haven't even had time to find the setlist from last night, you're a Meters setlist maniac, Josh!
: The place was 3/4 filled (maybe). On the other hand, everybody there was getting DOWN and there were big grins all around (a few wide eyes, but not as many as I've seen at the fM shows).
: Lots of jamming with many songs taking on an extended form. George had two very nice solos Art was really enjoying himself dancing in his seat all night and leading a fun Iko to close the show that had Leo and George singing without their guitars since they had already left the stage and came back to dish out the NOLA love. Art and Zig started up Iko and the show went on a little longer! Groovy Lady opener into Sat. Nite Fish Fry was a highlight for me. Look Ka Py Py had a killer vocal throw down. Be My Lady started off a little shaky and later turned into a beautiful version; George had the lead vocal. I remember a World somewhere in there, Handclapping Song was funky and fun, and a very nice Funkify that had some great jamming. Cardova grooved hard and we got a "Papa's Got brand New Jag" from Art. He also busted out a funky verse and chorus of Wade In the Water, I've never heard that in Art's bag of funk before! Overall a great time. Suge handed out over 1000 glow rings and right as security was collecting them from people he hit hard with round two and there was no way the Fillmore could stop him - right on Suge. He should have a complete setlist up here soon, I saw him scribbling. I know fUNKY Mas also was jotting down the setlist, so he may be posting what he has as well. Good times! Wish I was going to Jazzfest....have fun! Thanks for coming to Denver, it was a real treat.
